1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using JournalHub (the "Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

JournalHub is a cloud-based academic journal publishing platform that provides tools for manuscript submission, peer review management, editorial workflow, DOI registration, publishing, and distribution of scholarly content.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
Maintain the security of your password and account
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Roles and Responsibilities

Journal Managers/Editors: You are responsible for the editorial policies, content published under your journal, and compliance with academic publishing standards and ethics.

Authors: You warrant that submitted manuscripts are original work, do not infringe third-party rights, and have not been simultaneously submitted to other journals unless explicitly permitted.

Reviewers: You agree to maintain confidentiality of manuscripts under review, provide honest and constructive feedback, and disclose any conflicts of interest.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
Distribute malware or engage in activities that compromise platform security
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Use automated tools to scrape or collect data without permission
Engage in academic misconduct including plagiarism, data fabrication, or manipulation of the peer review process

6. Intellectual Property

Content uploaded to JournalHub remains the intellectual property of its creators. By uploading content, you grant JournalHub a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute the content as necessary to provide the Service. JournalHub does not claim ownership of your content.

7. Subscription and Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly as selected. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws including GDPR.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days. After this period, we may delete your data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JournalHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
